Reflecting on the month past
Another month that has zipped by; this time, bringing us to the end of 2022.
This month brought many new-ish experiences: venturing out more into public spaces, dining out, socialising. Still cautious, but doing more.

One of these outings found me wandering around Chinatown. I discovered a mural I’d never seen before, tucked in a corner of Chinatown Complex, a building I’ve visited many a time.
Many use this spot as a bicycle park, which strangely added to the charm of this space.

While I was gaping at this series of murals (still can’t figure out who painted them), a bird flying by pooped on my arm – good luck?

Here’s wishing us all a hopeful beginning to the new year, filled with good fortune (perhaps minus the bird poop?)
How was your December?
About The Changing Seasons
The Changing Seasons is a monthly project where bloggers around the world share their thoughts and feelings about the month just gone. We all approach this slightly differently, though generally with an emphasis on the photos we’ve taken during the month.
For many of us, looking back over these photos provides the structure and narrative of our post, so each month is different. Some focus on documenting the changes in a particular project — such as a garden, an art or craft project, or a photographic diary of a familiar landscape.
But in the end, it is your changing season, and you should approach it however works for you.
There are no fixed rules around post length or photo number — just a request that you respect your readers’ time and engagement.

A bit late this month with January already a third over, it’s been a busy end of year. Loved that mural and the bikes certainly add to the 3D effect, love finding street art.

No worries Pauline – we have a whole month to recap the month before! It is at our pace, right?
Thank you for your contribution – look forward to reading your post, as I have enjoyed peeking into your days on IG

The months certainly rush by, but having the challenge keeps me recording each month. It’s really good having that record to look back on. All the best for the coming year Ju-Lyn

I linked my “Changing Seasons” posts to the right link!
Is a bird pooping on your arm a sign of good luck? I never heard that before. When I was 12 years old walking to school, a bird pooped on my arm and my lunch. The first thing I did was run to school as fast as I can to wash everything off.

That’s also what I did – clean up!!!!
But I guess a positive spin doesn’t hurt …

Perhaps minus the bird poop! Ha! I remember once in college, talking with a stranger about God and a bird pooped on my head. That probably didn’t help my case. 😛
Blessed New Year to you, Ju-Lyn, and those truly are lovely murals!

Oh my goodness! Thank you for sharing your story – it certainly was a ill-times interruption! Then again, being rained on with poop will never be a good time.

I love those murals, and you’re right, the parked bikes do rather add to the scene. Here’s my December for you: https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/gallery-a-december-selection/

December, really the entire year, went by very quickly for me! We are in our winter rainy season now, but there is still so much beauty. I love the sound of rain on the metal roof.
