serenity in the heart of the city

Roundup of The Changing Seasons, June 2022

The Gardens by the Bay has been a new favourite venues for weekend morning runs. The outdoor gardens are large, shady and interesting enough for provide us respite and road.

We run through Dragonfly Lake often, where there are a pair of Dragonfly Riders , sculpted out of stainless steel & art glass by Dr Elsie Yu. The exuberance of the children on the dragonflies is infectious.

It’s almost time for The Changing Seasons

The Changing Seasons is coming soon on 31 July (7:00 am, Singapore time). Hope you will join Brian and I for a wrap-up of June (follow this link to find out more about The Changing Seasons).

Thank you to those of you who shared June 2022 with us:

  1. What a beautiful lake. I understand how it draws you (and your camera: well done!) again and again. I also appreciate seeing the iconic (bridge?) building in that context. I hope you take us there again!

    1. Ah! The bridge-like boat-like building is the Marina Bay Sands complex … it is rather iconic, isn’t it? Thank you for appreciating again and again my repeated visits. Maybe one day you will visit them in person when you come out to this part of the world 🙂

  2. I love this post, Ju-Lyn. That dragonfly is a superb piece of art, and your pictures show it well. I particularly love the first picture because of the dramatic lighting and the less complicated background. Thanks so much for joining in. I’ll be seeing you for Changing Seasons. I always look forward to those posts. 🙂
