Keppel Discovery Wetlands

A lone striated heron on a rock in the middle of the water. I stood with him. No rush.
One Word Sunday: Rush hosted by Debbie at Travel with Intent
Following along with Manja at Embarassment of Riches’ This day in my Blogging History segment at the end of each of her posts: I am inspired me to go back to look at some of my old posts; to chuckle in reminiscence and to gape at some of the things which caught my attention then. Here is my This day (or one closest to) in My Blogging History:
- Dec 16, 2020: travel photo, 1
- Dec 14, 2019: overlap
- Dec 13, 2018: Finding Treasure
- Dec 14, 2017: Bliss
- Dec 16, 2016: Pussy cat pussy cat where have your been?
I love a good haiku! Beautiful.

That image is so peaceful… Love it. (I accidentally first typed “live” it. Ha. Maybe that was a subconscious exhortation to myself.) 😉

Freudian slips are so funny & insightful!!!! Thank you for sharing yours, Betsy! I could do with it too! To bring the peace outside the gardens as well!

Lingering. Resting. Caring less for what doesn’t really matter. We can learn so much from nature, like your friend the heron. Thank you for bringing us to that world and for the lovely poem.

Nature indeed has much to teach, if we choose to pay attention. So happy to have you spend time in my space, Carol Ann, and for delighting in it with me.

Lovely poem and captures, Ju-Lyn. I like your message of taking things slow as seasons come and go. There often is no rush and we shouldn’t rush if we don’t have to. The heron looked very peaceful on the rock. Hope you are doing well 🙂

Quite right. Not that we don’t care about others, but it’s already enough. 😉
