Yunnan Garden, NTU
Driving Older Child to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) gave me numerous opportunities to explore the campus. The charming Yunnan Garden is one of the places which I enjoy popping in to visit, particularly post-refurbishment, where the garden now sports a waterfall, vegetable & orchid gardens, and charming winding paths.

The rejuvenated Yunnan Garden, a green lung in our urban city, is now a nine-hectare precinct for leisure, education and heritage, updated for today’s generation of students
HEY!

One of the quirky finds is this rock sculpture who looks like it is practising taichi.
Built in the 1950s, Yunnan Garden was a key attraction of the Nanyang University campus … Today, it is seamlessly integrated with the Chinese Heritage Centre and an expanded Nanyang Lake … that preserves the garden’s legacy while enriching it as an educational and recreation hub, making it a go-to place in NTU not just for the university community, but also residents of the wider Jurong neighbourhood.
HEY!
Loving Husband & I in front of a replica of Nantah Arch Younger Child at a Heritage Pavillion
I haven’t driven to campus for a while as Older Child has been on home-based learning for much of the year. My heart goes out to all students who are unable to fully participate in campus experiences.

Thank you so much, Ju-Lyn. I have about another five months of blood thinners, and then I think I’m done! Meanwhile, I went on my first short hike with Vince yesterday using walking sticks. I felt like a winner! 🙂

It is a rather grand waterfall – bigger than most. And yes, the sound and the spray is very mesmerising.

I absolutely agree. If we can’t live in a naturally scenic & green place like Winthrop, we should create our green spaces.
