after the rain

Happy Place, Happy Space

The morning dawned cool and grey after it rained all night. The flowers were still covered in residual rain water, or dew, I’m not sure which. But everything looked like it had been washed clean.

I stood at the top of the slope at the Gallop extension of the Singapore Botanic Gardens to catch my breath; a place I often pause, as I do my hill repeats.

View from the top of the slope, looking down. Feature photo shows the view from the other side.

I have not collected Joyful Posts this weekend as I am trying to catch some of the talks on The Acoustic Text: Sound & Music in Literature. I will plan to bring them back next Sunday.
