Church of the Holy Cross
We visited Church of the Holy Cross on 23 May as part of our Singapore Camino effort.
We then ran around the Clementi neighbourhood and found ourselves in the charming Clementi Woods Park.

One of the the delights of this park was coming across these Woodball players. Apparently, this woodball green is the only one of international standards in Singapore. We originally thought they were playing croquet – but when we returned and googled, we realised that this is a different sport.

Touring My Backyard 
Both woodball and croquet aren’t played in my country. Cricket and soccer are played more than any other game.

We don’t have woodball in my part of the world, as far as I know. It looks similar to golf maybe?

The people playing walking along the greens certainly bear some resemblance to golfers!

We thought it was as well – which warranted a google search when we got home … which is also when we realised it wasn’t croquet being played!

Interesting murals on either side of the cross.
We do not have woodball in the United States, at least not that I am aware of.

I’m glad you could make out the murals – with the low light, it wasn’t very obvious at all!
I think Woodball originated in Taiwan and is played mostly in Asia.

No. I have played it, but it was never something that I did a lot.

Same here – I think I have knocked a mallet on a ball a couple of times before in someone’s lawn but that’s about it.
