The Last Photo, April 2021

Chanced upon these little flowers meandering my way through the Gallop extension of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Anyone have any idea what flower they are?

This post is my contribution to

Note: these purple flowers are Common senduduk (Melastoma malabathricum), also known as Singapore rhododendron), a shrub native to Singapore; it took a while to find out but thank you for those who thought about it …. it inspired me to keep looking.

  1. Love your purple flowers and I confess to a flash of envy when I saw your shoes. I’ve had two pairs from Saucony – they are so comfy, but I always manage to rub a hole in the meshy toe in at least one shoe.
