Happy Place, Happy Space
It’s been a bit of a week: as much as I try to keep the news cycle out of my space, it’s been tough doing so as our Covid-19 numbers in Singapore begin to rise again, after some reprieve.
So I sought respite in running, in nature.

I’m sorry to hear your Covid numbers have risen. I hope it’s a blip, but in the meantime, enjoy the healing power of nature.

We are certainly hoping it is a blip which will resolve itself. But preparing for the worse so that we don’t get caught off guard …

That’s really sensible. When we had a couple of mini lock-downs at the beginning of the year, it was a really useful wake-up call for us.

I thought it so admirable that NZ was so responsive – nip it in the bud!!! We should be locking down faster than we are doing … the numbers are just a little scary.

😦 Governments are damned by some sector of society whatever they do.

I know, right? I really don’t envy the folks who are doing this work right now – juggling so many considerations and getting all sorts of flak for it.

Yes, we are lucky. I even though it is easy to become sad in these strange times there are people far worse off than us. I try to constantly remind myself of that .

I was interested to read about cases of Covid in Singapore on the rise, This week, Singapore overtook New Zealand as the ‘safest’ place to be, because of a higher vaccination rate. Interesting!

Just demonstrates again that the interpretation of statistics is not always consistent or absolute!

Thank you so much for the inclusion, Ju-Lyn! 🙂 🙂 The bright pattern of life is just starting to resume here, but we are well aware that opening our doors to tourists and mingling has a price. But the alternative is just as bad.

Sigh. It’s tough everywhere, I know. I guess we can only do the best we can to make the best of it.

I find myself not listening to the news much anymore. I want to stay informed, but some days it is just too much. Nature and running are a good way to take a break from everything. Love the pictures.

You get how I feel. It’s tricky balancing between staying informed and keeping sane. Better to focus on the things that make us happy.
